Super Mario 3D Land is a 2011 platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. It was released worldwide in November 2011 as the first Mario game to be released for the system. It combines elements from both traditional 2D side-scrolling games and modern free-roaming 3D games in the Super Mario series. It also introduces new additional gameplay mechanics and power-ups.
